Joseph N. Shepherd, Jr., MD

Dr. Joseph Shepherd grew up in Opelika, Alabama before obtaining a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Auburn University in 1983. He completed his M.D. degree from UAB in 1987 and internship/residency training from Baptist Medical Centers in 1990. He then practiced Primary Care medicine on the Brookwood Medical Center campus for 31 years before joining the MedHelp family in November 2021. Dr. Shepherd is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren. He enjoys photography, good literature, and mountain biking in his spare time.
