Long COVID Treatment Protocols
Every patient with long COVID symptoms will receive treatment from our team of knowledgeable and experienced providers.
Our Long COVID Treatment Protocol includes:
- Initial office visit: At your initial office visit at MedHelp 280, you’ll meet with Dr. Jordan Vaughn or Katie Taylor, FNP for your Long COVID evaluation. We’ll review your long COVID symptoms and medical history and discuss your treatment plan.
- Testing: We use diagnostic tools such as chest X-rays, EKGs, laboratory testing, and genetic testing to provide our team with a comprehensive assessment of endothelial damage, microclots, mast cell activation, and gut health. All lab testing is performed onsite. Other testing may be required.
- Microscopic blood evaluation: Our team has been trained in the use of a state-of-the-art immunofluorescent microscope to evaluate your blood plasma for microclots, which are a known cause of long COVID symptoms.
- Individualized treatment plan: Every patient experiences Long COVID differently. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan that’s targeted at their specific symptoms and grounded in the latest long COVID research. This treatment plan may include prescribed pharmaceuticals, natural supplements, dietary and lifestyle changes, and vitamins.
- Close monitoring and follow-up: Every patient is closely monitored throughout their treatment and will have regularly scheduled follow-up visits at MedHelp 280 with their long COVID provider.
- Optional advanced therapies: Patients participating in Long Covid treatment have the opportunity to access advanced therapies such as EBOO (extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation), EECP (enhanced external counterpulsation), IV therapy, and HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) at their in-person visits for an additional cost.
Long COVID treatment usually lasts for 6 to 12 months.
